COVID-19 Updates
INTRODUCTION
Thank you all for your support and flexibility during these unprecedented times. With the ever changing recommendations regarding COVID-19, it is our responsibility to communicate with all of you regarding our protocols and procedures in order to keep us all safe and healthy. We have established guidelines that are imperative to follow when you arrive for your appointment to ensure we all stay safe and are respecting social distancing.
ARRIVAL PROCEDURE
Upon arrival for your appointment, we ask that you please call us from your car to notify us that you are here. We will then advise you when it is okay to come to the front door. We ask that you please wear a mask and arrive solo. Before entering the office, we will conduct a COVID-19 screening which consists of a series of medical questions. Your temperature and oxygen saturation will be taken. If you need assistance from a caregiver or you are accompanying a small child, please be aware that everyone will be screened prior to entering our office. Below you will find the screening questions we are using. Please review them. If you are experiencing two or more of the symptoms in question, have traveled more than 100 miles from your home in the last 14 days, if you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days or if you have been recently tested; please contact our office prior to your appointment so we can access if it is safe for you to proceed with coming in.
Do you have or are you experiencing any of the following:
- A temperature above 100.4
- Shortness of breath
- Dry cough
- Runny nose
- Sore throat
- Chills

HEALTH AND SAFETY
We have always maintained high standards regarding our infection control protocols and have implemented new procedures and equipment to enhance our infection control process. Our treatment room countertops, soap dispensers, sinks, light fixtures, chairs, x-ray equipment, and other clinical equipment are disinfected after every patient. All dental instruments are sterilized or disposed of and the rooms are fogged after each patient with hydrochlorous acid. The general office area and restrooms are disinfected and fogged throughout the day as well. We have every patient wash their hands before and after their appointment and a hydrogen peroxide based mouth rinse is used prior to treatment.
Some of the new equipment we have incorporated to our office include: an extra oral high volume suction that is used when high volume aerosols are generated. We have also included HEPA/UV air purifiers in each room and we have installed an “I Wave-C” ionization air filtration system for the entire office. The air filtration and purifiers will help clean the air of bacterial, viral, and allergen aerosols.
CONCLUSION
We sincerely appreciate your loyalty and confidence in our ability to provide you with a safe treatment environment. We are more than happy to address any questions or concerns you may have about our protocols and procedures. We look forward to seeing you soon!
